Miss Gretchen
Dance has been a lifelong passion of mine, starting at the age of 3. I served as captain of my high school dance team and went on to study dance in college, performing with the modern dance company at UVSC/UVU. For the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching dance here in Twin Falls, building on years of prior experience in other locations.
My primary focus is helping students cultivate a genuine love for dance, while emphasizing strong technique and encouraging creativity. I’ve choreographed for competition teams as well as solos and duos, and I particularly enjoy helping dancers refine and elevate their routines.
It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the vision Devri and I shared come to life through our work at Next Door Dance.
Miss Devri
I began my dance journey at the age of 7 at Dana Smith Dance Studio(DSDS) in Pocatello, Idaho, where I trained and competed until I graduated high school. During those formative years, I had the opportunity to attend numerous conventions and workshops across the country that helped me grow as a versatile dancer.
After high school, I earned a spot on the Idaho State University dance team, where I danced from 2005 to 2007. During my time on the team, we traveled to NDA Nationals in Daytona, FL, and UDA Nationals in Las Vegas, NV. College also gave me the opportunity to train with a number of professional instructors who further shaped my technique and style.
I’ve taught various styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary. I began teaching in high school, continued into college, and after taking a break to focus on my family, I’m thrilled to be back teaching now that my daughter is dancing too.

Miss Maddy
I’ve been dancing since the age of three and began competing at seven. Dance quickly became a central part of my life throughout my school years. In high school, I was a member of my school’s dance team and had the honor of serving as team captain.
Now, I feel so fortunate to be on the teaching side of the art form I love. Dance has always been a deep passion of mine, and I’ve had the opportunity to teach both dance and gymnastics—experiences I truly cherish. I was deeply influenced by the amazing teachers I had growing up, and I strive to be a positive influence for my own students.
There’s nothing more rewarding than watching my dancers work hard, grow in confidence, and reach their goals. My hope is that they not only improve in technique but also experience the same joy and love for dance that has inspired me throughout my life.
